In order to successfully capture the ballet dancers movements, Glenn Keane thoroughly studied an experienced ballet dancer. He produced a range of sketches in order to capture the dancers movements. He focussed on the line of actions in order to create the dainty and flexible character. He studied her movements repeatedly.
By utilising the characters clothing, Keane managed to emphasise the airiness of the characters movements. When creating life drawing sketches that involve movements, I will definitely attempt to capture the movement of fabric in order to successfully capture motion.
