Studio Brief 1 - Visual Language - Set, Series, Sequence - Isabel Herguera

Isabel Herguera's work is vivid and abstract images that evoke a sense of action. She seems to explore various mediums and techniques such as collage, ink, oil pastels etc. Her work seems very expressive and inspiring as they capture imagery of the world around her in an intriguing and captivating way. I personally enjoy her work and took inspiration from her sketchbook work to create some of my sequential images.

Here, you can clearly see the comparison between the storyboard and the stills from her animation "Amar". The importance of storyboards and key shots resonates in this comparison because of the inspiration with few changes. The texture that she creates within her animation captures a sketchbook vibe, similar to her own.
