Titles - Titles I like

Here, I decided to research in to specific titles of tv shows that have stood out to me over the course of my tv show watching life. I decided to mainly choose animated shows because my aim is to create an animated title sequence. I also aimed to conjure up animated titles that move through a sequence of scenes, or through the place that it is set because I feel as though my animated title sequence would fit that ensamble better.

BoJack Horseman.

BoJack Horseman is an animated TV show on Netflix. It centres around a middle-aged horse who's washed up and depressed because his formative years of being an actor on a hit TV show have stopped.

I feel as though the title sequence fully captures the whole show. It's a small snapshot into the TV show. BoJack is in the centre of the screen, depicting the show is about him. He slowly moves though different sceneries, with a blank look on his face, with other characters in the background, doing things that is typical of the characters. The titles clearly capture the shows sense of humour

The music of the titles has a drag to it, which fits the show perfectly. It fits with BoJack's dragging life. Music in titles are clearly important part of the title sequence for any show. This one in particular envelops the moody atmosphere typical of the show, and fits with the ambient feel of the title sequence.

Super

Super is a live-action, violent and funny film that centres on a middle-aged man who hopes to become a super hero. I chose to look into this title sequence because of how different it is to Bojack Horseman. The sequence follows the main character through different scenarios that occur during the feature film. I hope to capture various scenarios that happen in the novel I have chosen, however, I understand that my title sequence is a lot more limited
I really like how this one is matched up to the music, however, I plan on the music not being the main focus of the title sequence. I quite like the story telling aspect of this title sequence, it's like a mini snapshot into the characters personalities and tendencies.

Adventure Time

I enjoy the fast pace of this title sequence, it seems rushed but there is also a sense of timing throughout. My aim is to capture significant scenes in my title sequence that bring to light the themes and atmosphere that the book expresses.

Juno

I like the simplicity of this animation. I decided to include this in my research into titles because I like the stop motion and cut- out feel to it. I hope to use a little bit of cut out animation in this project if the opportunity arises.

I feel like creating the illusion of moving through a scene would be difficult because I've never attempted it before. I could use software's like after effects and use a camera movement effect.
